The creative bridge between big ideas and practical execution

Designer

Long story short: are you a pro at bringing strategy to life visually? Do you colour both inside and outside the lines? And can you teach us a thing or two about the design process from start to finish?

As a designer at Kellerman, you'll be part of the Studio Team. In this team, you'll work on a wide range of projects: from creating and translating brand visual identities, retouching photography and designing in-store displays, to developing complete brand worlds. At the heart of it all is the creative, consistent and purposeful translation of a brand into diverse assets. Every day, you'll be challenged to apply your skills across different media.

A day in your life

It's Monday morning and, full of fresh energy, you open your planning: design the key visual for Heineken's upcoming international campaign. Now that's a great task to kick off your week! Before lunch, you huddle with the team to share your first sketches. Everyone's excited and buzzing with inspiration to push forward. But first, lunch: a fresh salad, salmon sandwich or a fried egg. You're well looked after here.

In the afternoon, a colleague from the studio asks for your help. You're brilliant at translating brand strategy into a visual identity, and she'd love to pick up some of your tips and tricks. As a team, we help each other grow. That happens through a personal development plan, but mostly by learning from one another.

After a quick check-in across the floor, you settle back at your desk to put together the brand guide for FrieslandCampina. As a true perfectionist, this is definitely a job for you – you work methodically and always check that all materials are correct and up to date before you start. Structured just works better!

Before you head out the door, you check what's on the agenda for tomorrow. You'll be continuing with the design directions for Open Mind, as your moodboards from last week have been approved. It feels so good to make a real difference!

You have

  • The drive to create work that matters – creatively, socially, or simply because it's important to you
  • The courage to develop strong ideas beyond the boundaries of your technical knowledge
  • 5+ years of relevant experience at a branding agency, activation agency or agency network
  • Exceptional InDesign & Illustrator skills
  • Rock-solid knowledge of print and production
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite & Figma
  • Experience with animation is a plus (After Effects)
  • A hunger to explore new materials, tools, techniques and trends
  • The confidence and pride to present and defend your work to us and our clients
  • An eye for detail, conceptual thinking and a love for teamwork
  • The willingness to learn and grow, and openness to feedback from colleagues
  • A sense of humour!

You get

  • A competitive salary that matches your knowledge and experience, plus growth opportunities beyond design (if you want)
  • A full-time position in an inspiring office in Amsterdam, close to Amstel Station
  • The freedom to develop personally (but you'll need to take ownership)
  • 27 holiday days
  • Got an idea for how we can do things better? Let's do it
  • A lightning-fast MacBook Pro
  • Flexible work-from-home days
  • A fully catered lunch every day (there's a small contribution, but it's totally worth it)
  • An international team of the best colleagues to brainstorm with (and grab drinks with)
  • An annual inspiration trip with the Studio Team
